Involvement!... January 10, 2008
The GYI program (Getting Youth Involved) is raising funds
to purchase a mobile kitchen trailer. The trailer is
to be used in our meal serving programs which distributes
free food to disadvantaged people. Currently meals are
prepared off site and then taken to the designated location
for distribution. The purchase of this mobile
trailer will help insure that the people receiving meals
will received warm and nutritious food.
The use of the trailer will be most helpful during the fall and cold
winter months as the meal program runs year round. Our agenda for this
year includes (but is not limited to) visiting 3 counties
which include homeless shelters in Wayne 22 sites, Oakland 5 sites, and
Macomb 4 sites.
