Ultimate
Workout 18
Scope: To construct five churches & provide
medical outreach
The Ultimate Workout is the premier short-term mission project
for high school and academy students between the ages of 14 to 18 who have
completed grade 9. Over 150 participants from North America and abroad travel to
a third-world country each year to volunteer to build urgently needed churches
or schools. Maranatha Volunteers International provides the funding and building
locations for the Ultimate Workout projects while Steve Case, president of
Involve Youth, coordinates the projects each year.
This year, the project will take place in Chile. The group will divide into five
teams and will travel by bus to their designated sites where they will live,
work, and play together for the next ten days. Volunteers will learn how to lay
block, mix cement, cook in large quantities, teach Vacation Bible School, and
have the opportunity to assist with medical outreach.
